Job summary

Embassy Suites Boulder is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to assist the Executive Housekeeper in leading associates and ensuring the cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and other spaces. You will coordinate housekeeping and laundry operations, guiding staff with strong communication and teamwork to achieve impeccable cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

The role emphasizes leadership, scheduling, interviewing, and supervision to maintain SOPs and health standards across departments.

Qualifications

• One to two years of post-high school education.
• Experience required by position is 1–2 years in a related position with this company or another organization.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition; ability to meet standards of appearance; communicate well with guests.

Responsibilities

• Direct, interview, hire, counsel, plan work schedules and assign duties for housekeeping staff.
• Lead pre-shift meetings, communicate arrivals/departures, identify VIPs and delegate room assignments.
• Assist Executive Housekeeper in interviewing and selecting new associates.
• Monitor staff productivity and recommend promotions or status changes.
• Handle employee complaints and discipline as needed.
• Determine materials, supplies and tools to stock and purchase.
• Inspect cleaning of guest rooms, public areas and back of the house to meet standards.
• Implement emergency training to protect guests and staff.
• Assign staff tasks to ensure smooth housekeeping operations.
• Provide supplies to staff at shift start while controlling expenses.
• Respond to guest requests and maintain guest satisfaction; manage Lost and Found inquiries.
