The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Hawaii seeks a Housekeeping Manager to oversee daily housekeeping operations, supervise in-house and contract staff, and ensure safety and quality across all guest areas. Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; college education is preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years in housekeeping or customer service in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Knowledge of housekeeping standards, safety practices, and operating procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Office).
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, mentorship, and motivation to housekeeping personnel; ensure 7/24 operations during major events.
• Train new staff in cleaning techniques, safety, and policies; conduct evaluations.
• Develop and manage staff schedules and staffing coverage.
• Inspect all facility areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards.
• Order and maintain cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; track usage and costs.
• Respond to complaints and coordinate with maintenance for timely resolutions.
• Enforce safety protocols and PPE usage; report hazards promptly.
• Develop and improve housekeeping procedures and operational efficiencies; manage payroll.
