Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Rooms and the Executive Housekeeper, and within hotel policies, manage the Housekeeping function in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. This includes overseeing guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure timely reporting and proper tools for Housekeeping team members.
2. Assign tasks, monitor quality and efficiency.
3. Manage linen stock and maintain standards.
4. Accurate inventory management and reporting to the Executive Housekeeper.
5. Review and assist with performance appraisals.
6. Inspect VIP rooms and handle special requirements.
7. Report maintenance issues and follow up.
8. Report damages and losses.
9. Plan schedules for special cleaning tasks.
10. Identify training needs and assist in training development.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements

1. High School education.
2. Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, Opera.
3. Basic accounting skills.
4. Minimum of 2 years supervisory or management experience in housekeeping.
