Yellowstone Club’s Residential Services department is seeking candidates for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager. This is a full-time year-round position located in Big Sky, Montana.
The purpose of the Assistant Housekeeping Manager is to assist the Housekeeping Managers with all responsibilities included in leading a first-class housekeeping team. It is the duty of the Assistant Housekeeping Manager to aid the Housekeeping managers in overseeing the overall operation of the department and the day-to-day implementation of those policies, procedures, and programs that will ensure a well-managed, well-maintained residence within established management, operating, and fiscal policies. The ability to effectively communicate with homeowners and members of other departments is critical.
Major Responsibilities
- Ensure that each Member and guest receives outstanding service in a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every Member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of guest service.
- Empowered to guarantee total Member satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our Members at all times, take pride in representing Yellowstone Club professionally with our Members and guests, and ensure that all transactions are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
- Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for team members, Members, and guests. In an accident or emergency, immediately seek medical attention and contact your direct manager, the Director of Housekeeping, or Human Resources.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Yellowstone Club team members to foster and promote a positive working environment.
Essential Job Functions:

- Assist the Housekeeping Managers with managing all operations of the Housekeeping department.
- Provide training, coaching and counseling to all housekeeping employees.
- Participate in the recruitment, vetting, and onboarding of all new hires.
- Effectively take direction from Housekeeping Managers and Executive Housekeeper.
- Create and edit monthly, weekly and daily schedules for the entire team ensuring both operational and financial responsibilities are being met to both the club and membership.
- Assist Housekeeping Managers in ensuring that assignment sheets are organized and uploaded ensuring revenue optimization through our billing process.
- Lead regular inspections of the homes with a critical eye to ensure adherence to our cleanliness and operating standards while maintaining owner preferences.
- Clean private homes at a level that meets the highest standards in the Hospitality industry.
- Oversee staff to ensure crews are utilizing department practices for consistency and efficiency.
- Cultivate and maintain quality relationships with other departments, owners, renters and vendors to ensure positive current and future business.
- Converse with the Membership and guests in a hospitable and professional manner.

- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.

Experience/Education Required
- High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work
- 2 years plus of supervisory experience in housekeeping or janitorial fields; hospitality setting desired, but not required
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Office systems
- Demonstrate strong verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Capable to manage multiple priorities, work independently and take initiative
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment
- Experience and ability to drive in demanding winter and mountainous conditions
Experience/Education Preferred
- Undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Proven experience using communication and organizational skills to accomplish goals.
Certificates & Licenses
- Valid US Driver’s License
Computer Skills
- Proficiency in basic technology including smartphones, computers, and email.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems.
Language Ability
- Able to speak clearly and effectively with Members, guests, co-workers, vendors and other Yellowstone Club departments. Able to write clearly and legibly.
Math Ability
- Able to perform basic math calculations.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve basic problems and/or know when it is necessary to get a manager to assist in problem solving.
