Position Overview

As the Housekeeping Manager, you will have a key leadership role in maintaining our hotel. The appearance and cleanliness of the hotel are vital to guest satisfaction. You will ensure that the housekeeping department meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency, leading a dynamic team to keep guest rooms, public spaces, and other areas clean and organized.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in hiring, training, supervising, coaching, and counseling housekeeping staff.
2. Establish cleanliness standards for all housekeeping areas.
3. Set long-term goals and direction for the department with the Director of Rooms.
4. Monitor and analyze departmental costs to ensure performance against budget.
5. Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with standards.
6. Perform manual duties as needed to cover staff shortages.
7. Promote safety and security in assigned areas.
8. Respond promptly and courteously to guest and staff requests, fostering excellent rapport.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience; hotel experience highly preferred.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to exercise judgment and control over team performance.
• Effective communication skills to guide and instruct staff.
