Job summary

Ithaka Hospitality Partners, LLC is seeking a Lobby Attendant to maintain the lobby and public areas of the hotel, including the exterior entrance, while upholding a high standard of hospitality and service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Previous experience in hospitality or cleaning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean all public and employee restrooms areas, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, tiles, and floors.
• Dust all furniture, pictures, and shelves in all public areas.
• Clean and polish metal surfaces with appropriate cleaners.
• Clean ashtrays and empty trash; maintain cleanliness of trash cans inside and outside.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors including sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
• Walk the parking lot to pick up trash and keep exterior areas neat.
• Restock restrooms and employee restrooms; respond to guest requests.
• Complete maintenance work orders and deliver to supervisors promptly.
• Turn in lost and found items according to procedures.
• Clean employee locker room and monitor lobby cleanliness.
• Report hazards or suspicious activity to Safety/Security.

Job Summary:

The Lobby Attendant is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the lobby and public areas, which includes the outside front entrance of the hotel, while projecting a high standard of service and professional hospitality at all times.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly clean all public and employee restrooms areas, including but not limited to sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tiles, counters, walls, stalls, vents, and/or floors. Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for the use of cleaning agents.


• Thoroughly dust all furniture, pictures, and shelves in all public areas.


• Thoroughly clean and polish all metal surfaces, applying pressure in repeated motion.


• Clean ashtrays and empty trash. Clean the inside and outside of the trash can.


• Maintaining the cleanliness of the floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, polishing, etc.


• Walk the parking lot picking up all trash.


• Maintaining carpets and upholstery.


• Restock restrooms and employee restrooms.


• Respond to guest requests.


• Complete maintenance work orders and deliver them to supervisors/management promptly.


• Turn in all lost and found items in accordance with lost and found procedures.


• Clean employee locker room twice daily.


• Vacuum all public areas.


• Maintain cleanliness of the outside of the building, which includes mopping, sweeping all glass entrance doors and carpets.


• Monitor elevator cleanliness.


• Clean the fitness and business center. Clean the fitness room, equipment, mirrors, rug, and anything else that might need cleaning.


• Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc., to Safety/Security department.


• Provide general public assistance, instruction, and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergencies.


• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Previous experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and sitting.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
