Job summary

StoneBridge Senior Living is seeking a Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our housekeeping and laundry department, ensuring clean, safe, and comfortable conditions for residents. The role supports the Administrator and collaborates with nursing services to maintain standards.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or management experience is required.
• Experience in healthcare Environmental Services is preferred.
• Friendly attitude and excellent communication skills are required.
• Ability to express self clearly in written and oral communication within an interdisciplinary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of supervising the housekeeping department.
• Assist the director in setting housekeeping standards.
• Schedule work assignments and cleaning schedules; revise as necessary.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing staff during routine cleaning in resident areas.
• Schedule department work hours and ensure sufficient personnel for each shift.
• Ensure work areas are clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive.
• Communicate with Maintenance Director for state inspections and participate in survey training.
• Attend in-service education programs and apply information to tasks.
• Monitor safety and fire hazards; report issues promptly.
• Participate in fire and disaster drills and carry out duties during emergencies to ensure resident safety.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
