Job summary

Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, Utah is seeking an enthusiastic Housekeeping and Laundry team member to join our outstanding facility. You will help maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and assist with laundry duties, with pay between $15.50 and $17.00 per hour on either a full- or part-time schedule.

This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to safety standards in daily chores.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina with lifting and bending abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Effective communication and positive attitude.
• Willingness to adhere to facility policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces regularly.
• Dispose of trash and waste in a sanitary manner.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures to protect residents, staff, and self.
• Assist with laundry duties including washing, folding, and distributing linens.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
