Job summary

Four Chaplains Nursing Care Center is seeking a Housekeeping & Laundry Aide to maintain a clean, pleasant environment for residents and guests. The role involves sorting soiled linen, operating laundry equipment, delivering clean linen to units, and cleaning work areas.

Shifts include day, afternoon/evening, with rotating weekends and holidays. Starting wage is $14.50 per hour, plus $0.85 per hour hazard pay, and there are yearly wage increases with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel.

Responsibilities

• Attend to multiple areas of the facility to ensure cleanliness and dispose of trash.
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces and floors.
• Assist with collecting, washing, drying, folding and redistributing laundry/linens.
• You may be assigned housekeeping projects outside on the facility grounds.
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in every daily interaction with guests, families, and visitors.
• Sort soiled linen, load and unload washers and dryers.
• Operate computer-operated washers and dryers according to operating procedures.
• Sort and fold clean linen accurately and in a timely manner.
• Place clean linen in a delivery cart and deliver to appropriate units, using caution when pushing carts.
