Job summary

Four Chaplains Nursing Care Center in Michigan is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping & Laundry Aide. You will maintain cleanliness in resident areas, public spaces, and support offices while sorting and handling linen using washers and dryers.

You will deliver clean linen to units and assist with on-site projects as needed. Full-time and part-time shifts are available, including DAY 7A-3P and AFTERNOONS/EVENINGS 1P-9P, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Lift up to 30 pounds.
• Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Be a team player and support colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of resident areas, public spaces, and work areas.
• Sort, collect, wash, dry, fold, and redistribute linen.
• Deliver clean linen to assigned units; operate washers/dryers per procedures.
• Assist with housekeeping projects outside on facility grounds as needed.

Our Housekeeping & Laundry Aides perform a variety of tasks to maintain a clean and pleasant environment for all of our guests and residents. Will ensure cleanliness in resident areas, public areas, and support offices ensuring satisfaction is a top priority. This position is responsible for collecting and sorting soiled linen, loading and unloading washing machines, and folding clean linen. This position also counts the amount of linen processed each day, delivers clean laundry to assigned units, and cleans and sanitizes the work area, including machines, worktables, and sorting areas.

You Will Earn

• Starting Wages $14.50 per hour
• PLUS $0.85 per hour Hero/Hazard pay

• ALL SHIFTS INCLUDE ROTATING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS

How You Will Help People Every Day

• Attend to multiple areas of the facility to ensure cleanliness and dispose of trash
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces and floors
• Assist with collecting, washing, drying, folding and redistributing laundry/linens
• You may be assigned housekeeping projects outside on the facility grounds
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in our every daily interaction with our guests, their families, and visitors. Through kind words and encouragement, you will promote a positive, healthy environment in which to heal and thrive.
• Sort soiled linen, load and unload washers and dryers.
• Operate computer-operated washers and dryers according to operating procedures.
• Sort and fold clean linen accurately and in a timely manner.
• Place clean linen in a delivery cart and deliver to appropriate units, using caution when pushing carts.
