Now Hiring - Housekeeping/Laundry Aide to join our TEAM!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, the Housekeeper/Laundry Aide is responsible for cleaning resident rooms and other interior and exterior facility areas, and assisting in maintaining a clean and attractive environment for the residents. This role involves proper collection, sorting, laundering, distribution, and storage of facility linen and residents’ personal clothing, following facility policies. The person in this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out assigned duties in accordance with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Report to work as scheduled and attend all mandatory in-services by the employee’s anniversary date.
2. Comply with all facility policies and procedures.
3. Act appropriately under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping and collaborate as part of the interdisciplinary team.
4. Clean and straighten rooms, offices, and common areas, including vacuuming, wiping, mopping, polishing, etc., ensuring resident rooms are safe, comfortable, and attractive.
5. Adjust to shift changes as needed to meet facility requirements.
6. Clean and sanitize designated areas following facility policies and procedures.
7. Move and arrange residents’ furniture and equipment as directed.
8. Clean residents’ dining areas after meals and adhere to the weekly cleaning schedule.
9. Sanitize resident bathrooms and common bath areas.
10. Maintain cleanliness of windows and walls in resident rooms and common areas.
11. Follow the weekly departmental cleaning schedule and observe chemical safety guidelines.
12. Observe sanitation rules at all times.
13. Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Housekeeping.
15. Handle laundry according to sanitary guidelines, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and returning laundry properly labeled with resident names.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Possess a high school diploma or sufficient knowledge to perform job functions.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Capable of setting work priorities and working independently.
• Meet health assessment requirements, including a two-stage Mantoux skin test.
• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
