Job summary

Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing at Canal Pointe is hiring for a Full-time Housekeeper/Laundry Aide to support all departments by maintaining a clean and safe facility. The role involves handling laundry operations, general cleaning, and assisting with room moves as needed.

The position requires reliable availability for 8-hour day or night shifts and physical ability to perform cleaning tasks. Prior laundry experience is preferred, and the role is based in Akron, OH, with in-person work

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laundry equipment.
• Wash, dry, and sort linens; deliver to linen closets and rooms.
• Clean laundry room, sort and handle soiled linen tubs.
• Remove waste and trash from facility.
• Mop, vacuum, and dust all surfaces.
• Buff, wax, and strip floors as needed.
• Assist in room moves and deep cleaning as required.

Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing at Canal Pointe is hiring a Full-time Housekeeper/Laundry aide. This position works with all departments to ensure a clean facility. Regular daily cleaning will include but not be limited to cleaning all rooms and common areas in the facility.

Some job duties include but are not limited to

• Operate and maintain all laundry equipment.
• Delivers soiled linens to laundry; sorts, washes, dries, folds, and returns clean linens to linen closets and resident rooms.
• Cleans laundry room, sorting, and soiled linen tubs.
• Waste and trash removal.
• Dry and wet mopping of all floors
• vacuuming all carpeted areas
• General cleaning & dusting of all surfaces
• Buffing, waxing, and stripping of all floors as needed
• Deep cleaning and assisting in moving rooms as needed
