Job summary

Suncadia Resort, LLC is seeking a Housekeeping Room Inspector to conduct inspections and ensure guest rooms meet cleanliness, sanitation and safety standards across the Lodge, Inn, and private homes. You will work with leadership to uphold service quality and address deficiencies, while performing routine cleaning tasks and documenting issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior housekeeping experience in rooms preferred.
• Able to work under pressure and follow instructions, verbal and written.
• Strong guest-facing communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform unit inspections to ensure cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance standards before occupancy.
• Make small corrections in lodging units to meet required standards.
• Update housekeeping coordinator when units are clean and ready for occupancy.
• Document and notify concerns in units and enter into system as applicable.
• Assist with associate training and follow-up on deficiencies.
• General cleaning tasks may be assigned during peak occupancy across resort facilities.

Overview

The Housekeeping Room Inspector conducts inspections, and maximizes the efforts of the entire department in order to ensure compliance with all standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, sanitation and productivity and efficiency set by the Resort. The Room Inspector’s position is to ultimately ensure that guests of the Lodge and Inn at Suncadiaenter a lodging unit that is clean, sanitary and welcoming. Each Inspector will play a vital housekeeping role in ensuring all guests experience the natural beauty comfort and custom hand finished details that our guest rooms offer. They will work with business/department leadership and team members to ensure the effectiveness and overall success of the department.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working all scheduled shifts;
• Ensure the safe keeping of Guest’s Personal Property while working within their lodging unit by showing Integrity and Honesty at all times;
• Perform unit inspections ensuring all meet cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance standards prior to guest occupancy.
• Make small corrections as needed in lodging units to bring them to required standards;
• Update the housekeeping coordinator when units are clean, up to standards and ready for guest occupancy.
• Document and notify housekeeping coordinator of any engineering concerns in the units and enter into Hotsos if applicable;
• Document and notify housekeeping leadership of any severe cleaning deficiencies in the units;
• Assist with associate training, including follow-up training as needed with regard to any recorded deficiencies;
• General cleaning tasks (making beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, scrubbing floors, spotting carpets, cleaning fireplaces, vacuuming all living areas, sweeping, mopping, dusting, spot cleaning windows and checking outside trash areas) may be assigned during peak occupancy days at the resort;
• General cleaning tasks may be assigned in areas including: Condos, Health and Fitness Centers, Recreational facilities, Public Spaces, Spa and freestanding homes throughout Suncadia Resort;
• Understand and abide by all Suncadia policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in housekeeping experience in rooms preferred
• Must be able to work well under pressure;
• Must be able to accurately follow instructions (verbally and written);
• Must possess guest facing communication skills;
• High attention-to-detail
