Job summary

Suncadia Resort, LLC is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure guest safety at the pool and water slide facilities. The role emphasizes vigilant supervision, enforcing rules, and delivering friendly service to Inn & Lodge guests and club members.

The position is part-time with a 29-hour-or-less schedule and requires the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training and certifications are provided as needed, with benefits and team events mentioned in the posting.

Qualifications

• Current American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard Certification or ability to obtain via company provided training.
• Current CPR & First Aid certification or ability to obtain via company provided training.
• Lifeguard experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and oral and written communication skills.
• Energetic self-starter with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and enforce pool rules in water slides, swimming and sauna areas.
• Be alert and focused at all times when on duty at the pools or water slides.
• Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning and administer first aid.
• Clean the pool and sauna regularly of loose debris and vacuum daily.
• Perform daily opening, closing or mid-shift checklists to ensure pool operations are properly managed.
• Assist with general pool, facility and locker room cleanliness.
• Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance or repair needs.
• Administer public health and safety policies according to SOPs and emergency action plans.
• Ensure member and associate safety in all club areas through ongoing safety training.
• Greet members as they enter facilities with a smile and name (first or last) per their preference.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications with other departments.
• Attend weekly, monthly or quarterly team meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned

The primary role of a Lifeguard is to ensure the safety of all Inn & Lodge guests, Suncadia & Tumble Creek Club members, their families and guests that are utilizing the pool or water slide facilities. As a team member at Suncadia, you'll participate in building teamwork, effectiveness of services, and the overall character of the resort experience.

Responsibilities

• May inspect equipment daily and report any maintenance and repair needed
• Administer public health and safety policies according to facility standard operating procedures and emergency action plans
• Ensure member and associate safety in all areas of the club through awareness and on-going safety training
• Personally greet each club member as they enter facilities with a smile and their first or last name, depending on their preference
• Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments
• Attends weekly, monthly or quarterly team meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Current American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard Certification OR abilty obtain via company provided training
• Current Certification in CPR & First Aid OR ability to obtain via company provided training
• Previous Lifeguarding experince a plus
• Strong organizational skills and oral and written communication skills
• Energetic self-starter with strong work ethic
• Proven ability to meet and work with the public
• Ability to engage in social conversation with members and guests to promote positive relations
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with a smile
