Job summary

JSK Hospitality is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Inspector to protect cleanliness and brand standards at our Residence Inn Louisville Northeast. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, hotel housekeeping experience, and the ability to coach associates with professionalism.

This role inspects guest suites and public areas after cleaning, returns rooms that do not meet standard, supports on-time arrivals, and helps the Executive Housekeeper deliver a consistently guest-ready

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel housekeeping or inspector roles preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest suites and public areas against Residence Inn cleanliness and brand standards before rooms are released for arrival.
• Score rooms accurately, document deficiencies, and return work that does not meet standard; follow up until the suite is guest-ready.
• Coach housekeepers on quality, efficiency, and proper cleaning procedures while maintaining a respectful, productive work environment.
• Support daily room assignments, priority arrivals, deep-clean tracking, and communication with the front desk on room status.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and inventory needs promptly so rooms are not held out of order longer than necessary.
• Assist with linen, amenity, and supply checks; handle lost-and-found according to property procedure.
• Uphold chemical safety, bloodborne pathogen, and OSHA practices; use approved products and procedures only.
• Partner with the Executive Housekeeper and General Manager on quality scores, guest comments, and continuous improvement of the housekeeping operation.

The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, hotel housekeeping experience, and the ability to coach associates with professionalism. This role inspects guest suites and public areas after cleaning, returns rooms that do not meet standard, supports on-time arrivals, and helps the Executive Housekeeper deliver a consistently guest-ready extended-stay product.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest suites and public areas against Residence Inn by Marriott cleanliness and brand standards before rooms are released for arrival
• Score rooms accurately, document deficiencies, and return work that does not meet standard; follow up until the suite is guest-ready
• Coach housekeepers on quality, efficiency, and proper cleaning procedures while maintaining a respectful, productive work environment
• Support daily room assignments, priority arrivals, deep-clean tracking, and communication with the front desk on room status
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and inventory needs promptly so rooms are not held out of order longer than necessary

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience required; inspector, supervisor, or senior housekeeper experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hotel room cleaning standards, especially extended-stay suites (kitchenettes, living areas, and frequent-stay rooms).
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to inspect quickly and consistently under arrival pressure.
• Ability to coach associates clearly and professionally; reliable attendance and a team-first attitude.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and move throughout the property during the shift.
• Basic computer or handheld device skills for room status, inspection notes, and communication with the desk.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor with guests and associates.
