Job summary

Islander on the Beach in Kapaa, Hawaii seeks a housekeeping professional to manage room cleanliness, perform inspections, and assist with training and scheduling. The role supports guest satisfaction and adherence to safety and brand standards.

You will respond to guest requests, maintain professional appearance, and uphold confidentiality while helping to protect assets and ensure smooth operations within the housekeeping team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain guest room cleanliness and report room status on assignment sheets.
• Inspect guest rooms after cleaning by housekeeping staff.
• Assist management in training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and department needs; ensure vacancy before entering rooms.
• Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance, protect proprietary information and assets.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, listen and respond to concerns of associates.
• Observe safety procedures and report accidents or hazards; complete required safety training.

Hourly Rate: $24.04Hourly Wage: $24.04Valid driver's license may be required with at least one year of clean driving history.JOB SUMMARYEnters status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheets. Completes checklists to report cleanliness and condition of each assigned area. Completes required housekeeping paperwork. Identifies room assignments and types of cleaning required for each room. Inspects guest rooms after being cleaned by Housekeeper. Responds promptly to requests from guests and other departments. Enters guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering. Assist management in training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model. Assists all aspects, within the housekeeping discipline, up to but not limited to cleaning rooms/villas, house aide duties, and public space cleaning.
