Job summary

Makeready LLC is seeking a dedicated housekeeping assistant to support room attendants by cleaning hallways, stocking closets, and delivering items to guest rooms. This role emphasizes attention to detail and guest- and team-first attitude as part of a collaborative hospitality environment.

You will help prepare the property for guests, maintain cleanliness of public areas, and uphold the guiding principles of Makeready, ensuring an equal opportunity workplace for all employees.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash and lines from guestrooms based on standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the corridors, stairs and guest’s amenities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen closets.
• Clean and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the property lobbies, hallways, public restrooms, and public areas of the hotel.
• Deep clean assigned areas of the property including shampooing of rooms and elevators.
• Deliver housekeeping items to guest rooms upon requests.
• Check and replenish supplies and cleaning tools.
• Greet each guest warmly and professionally.

Job description

The Junto is a modern-day embodiment of Ben Franklin and his club of the same name. His “club for mutual improvement” brought together people from all backgrounds to discuss issues and ideas of the time while enjoying life. With an emphasis on public gathering spaces, our hotel gives visitors, locals, entrepreneurs, and artists alike a place to come together, exchange ideas, and inspire one another. The Junto will be both a destination and a landmark of the area, helping to define and add value to the future of Columbus.

This is the silent hero of the housekeeping department. This individual takes pride in everything that they do and views their role as critical in getting the housekeeping department ready for action. Their primary role is to assist room attendants by cleaning hallways, taking out trash stocking closets.

Requested Tasks

• Remove trash and lines from guestrooms based on standards
• Maintain the cleanliness of the corridors, stairs and guest’s amenities, i.e. Nooks/hydration stations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen closets
• Clean and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the property lobbies, hallways, public restrooms, and public areas of the hotel
• Deep clean assigned areas of the property including shampooing of rooms and elevators
• Deliver housekeeping items to guest rooms upon requests
• Check and replenish supplies and cleaning tools
• Greet each guest warmly and professionally
