Job summary

Omni Austin Hotel Downtown is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper Guest Room Attendant to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in guest rooms and ensure a welcoming stay for guests. The role includes thorough room cleaning, restocking, and clear communication of room status, with an emphasis on guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will have daytime availability, strong attention to detail and customer service, and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Qualifications

• Morning/Daytime Availability required.
• Strong attention to detail required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours.
• Ability to bend, stretch, reach and push up to 20 lbs.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms including beds, bathrooms, vacuuming and dusting.
• Restock and replace used items in guest rooms.
• Communicate room status after cleaning.
• Remove room service trays and tables from guest rooms.
• Stock and organize supply cart at all times.
• Check equipment before and after use to ensure good condition.
• Respond to hotel guests promptly and politely.

Housekeeper Guest Room Attendants are responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in each guest room. Guest Room Attendants thoroughly clean rooms of guests who have checked out in preparation for the next guest checking in, as well as refresh rooms for guests who are continuing their stay.

This Position Is Responsible For

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Restock and replace used items within guest rooms.
• Communicate clean status of each room upon completion.
• Remove room service trays and tables from guest rooms.
• Stock supply cart and ensure that it is neat and well organized at all times.
• Check all equipment prior to and after use to ensure that it is in good working order.
• Respond to all hotel guests efficiently and in an appropriately friendly manner.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills
• Ability and willingness to stand for 8 hours at a time
• Ability and willingness bend, stretch, reach, and push up to 20 lbs.
• Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule which includes working on weekends and holidays
• Previous experience in housekeeping is strongly preferred
