Job summary

The Markham Hotel in Biloxi, MS is seeking a Housekeeping Floor Technician to keep carpeted and hard-surface floors clean and presentable across the property. You will use carpet extractors, buffers, and floor scrubbers to meet safety and cleanliness standards.

This role requires physical stamina and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Shifts include weekends and holidays; training is provided for equipment and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in housekeeping, floor care, or commercial cleaning preferred.
• Knowledge of carpet cleaning, carpet extraction, and hard-floor maintenance preferred.
• Ability to operate floor-care equipment, including carpet extractors, buffers, and floor scrubbers, or willingness to be trained.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning chemical usage and safety procedures.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver cleaning equipment as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify stains, discoloration, and flooring maintenance concerns.
• Ability to follow instructions, manage assigned tasks, and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
