Apploi is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant Floor Tech to maintain high standards of cleanliness in a healthcare environment. You will perform floor maintenance, carpet care, and operate heavy floor machinery to keep surfaces safe and presentable for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include following strict safety guidelines, recording daily activities, and providing courteous, quiet service. Prior experience is a plus, with a focus on reliability and attention to detail in a team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in custodial or healthcare floor care is a plus.
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow instructions.

Responsabilités

• Sweep, mop, strip, wax, buff, polish, and deep-clean hard floors.
• Vacuum, shampoo, and water-extract carpets and rugs.
• Operate floor machinery such as buffers and auto-scrubbers safely.
• Follow OSHA/CDC guidelines and place wet floor signs as needed.
• Maintain daily logs of floor care activities and report hazards.
• Provide courteous service and maintain quiet, respectful conduct around residents.
• Assist with general housekeeping or room setups as needed.

Housekeeping Assistant Floor Tech

Housekeeping, Painting, assistant to Maintenance

Key Responsibilities

• Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, strip, wax, buff, polish, and deep-clean hard floors (tile, vinyl, concrete).

• Carpet Care: Vacuum, shampoo, and perform water extraction on carpets and rugs.

• Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain heavy floor machinery, including buffers, burnishers, auto-scrubbers, and extractors.

• Safety & Infection Control: Follow strict facility, OSHA, and CDC guidelines to reduce pathogens, handle chemicals properly, and place warning signs (like "wet floor" cones).

• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily logs of floor care activities and report any maintenance or safety hazards to supervisors.

• Resident Interaction: Offer polite, positive customer service and maintain a respectful, quiet demeanor around residents and staff.

• General Support: Assist with general housekeeping or room setups as needed by the facility.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

• Experience: Prior custodial or healthcare-specific floor care experience is a plus.

• Physical Demands: High physical stamina, ability to stand or walk for long shifts, and capability to bend, stoop, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.

• Skills: Good understanding of cleaning chemicals, attention to detail, and the ability to follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.
