Job summary

Olivia Hospital & Clinic is seeking Environmental Services Technicians to maintain safe and sanitary surroundings in hospital and clinic settings. You will follow procedures for handling, cleaning, disposal, and movement of materials, including bloodborne pathogen guidelines.

This is a part-time (.3 FTE) position. Responsibilities include transporting supplies, cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of waste, and maintaining sterilized, well-kept spaces.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to follow assigned work orders.
  • Ability to work a variety of scheduled hours.
  • Ability to work weekends and call-in hours.
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment on a day-to-day basis.
  • Effective time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Carry linens, towels, toiletry items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
  • Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
  • Sort, count linens, and store them in linen closets.
  • Clean rooms, hallways, waiting areas, restrooms, corridors, locker rooms, high touch areas and other assigned work areas so that applicable health standards are met.
  • Dispose of trash or waste materials to appropriate disposal areas.
  • Sweep, scrub, and vacuum floors using brooms, mops, and vacuums.
  • Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork as necessary.
  • Hang draperies and dust/wash window blinds as needed.
  • Disinfect equipment, furniture, and supplies according to OHC standards.
  • Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses to effectively clean.
  • Attend facility and department meetings as scheduled.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
