Job Description

Pay Range: $17.00 - $22.88. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.

The position requires 20 hours per week (five hours per day) with mandatory every other weekend flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient rooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures. This includes proper disinfection of all surfaces, restrooms, and floors, as well as cleaning patient discharges and precaution rooms according to Infection Control policies using proper disinfectants.
• Cleans all restrooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures, and checks and restocks paper supplies.
• Cleans offices and conference rooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.
• Cleans entrances, lobbies and waiting areas daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures and vacuums carpets according to department procedures.
• Cleans utility rooms and nourishment stations according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures, and cleans corridors and ancillary areas accordingly.
• Collects all soiled linen and brings it to the soiled utility room from patient units, ancillary & designated areas, replacing laundry bags as needed.
• Collects and sorts trash, plastics, corrugated cardboard & blue wrap from designated rooms, placing them in the proper area and, when appropriate, utilizing the baler & compactor for proper disposal.
• Cleans, strips, refines, spray‑buffs, shampoos, and maintains all floors. Operates an automatic floor machine, buffing machine, shampooing machine and vacuums, and assists in maintaining the cleanliness of equipment.
• Participates in all EVS in‑service training, department meetings & safety meetings, and works with basic computer programs and TDSS device.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
