Job summary

Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital seeks a dedicated Housekeeper for the 6 PM–2 AM shift. You will vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, empty trash, and clean bathrooms and fixtures throughout the hospital and offices.

You’ll stock linens, prepare linens for nurses and doctors, perform pest control duties, and assist with OR areas. Excellent benefits, night/weekend differential, and holiday pay are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain confidentiality; work independently and be self-motivated.
• Exercise tact and discretion in interactions.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, materials and cleaning machines.
• Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets is a plus.
• Ability to perform manual tasks requiring lifting up to 75 pounds and operate cleaning equipment.

• Clean and ready OR rooms; routine cleaning in OR; clean and maintain recovery room.

Clean over-bed tables, phones, light switches, windows and blinds. Replace disposable items. Clean beds, mattresses and call cords. Collect trash and remove recyclable materials from offices and public areas. Perform pest control duties. Collect and remove bio-hazard for shipment. Clean and ready OR rooms. Routine cleaning in OR. Clean and maintain recovery room. Stock linens and scrubs for nurses and doctors. Receive linen, stock throughout hospital and doctor's offices. Ready soiled linen for pick up.
