Job summary

Iredell Health System in Statesville, NC is seeking a Housekeeper to clean and service all areas of the hospital and owned buildings. You will arrange furniture, and keep equipment and storage areas clean and organized, with no access to patient health information.

The role includes evenings starting at 5:00 PM and alternating weekends, with on-the-job training provided and cleaning duties across the facility. Requires ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write and follow written and oral directions.
• Cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Employees receive on-the-job training.
• Must know how to use cleaning equipment (e.g. vacuum cleaner).
• Ability to clean blood and body fluids.
• Ability to clean furniture, windows, restrooms, walls and dust mop and damp mop hard surface floors.
• Must replenish all paper supplies, waste can liners and handle hazardous chemicals correctly.

Shift: Evenings with 5:00 PM start time, alternating weekends

Physical Requirements

• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include standing, bending, stooping, and sitting for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
