Job title: Housekeeping Attendant

Reports to: Housekeeping Manager

Position type: Part-time

Position summary:

The Housekeeping Attendant will be responsible for performing routine duties including cleaning and servicing guest rooms. This position must ensure a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and orderly environment for members and guests at the Union League Liberty Hill. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and able to work with little to no supervision. The Housekeeping Attendant must be pleasant, honest, and friendly, capable of addressing and handling all guest requests and problems while adhering to all policies, procedures, and standards of The Union League.

Housekeeping Attendant responsibilities:

1. Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.
2. Maintain guest rooms in a sanitary condition through washing, cleaning, and replacement of equipment and furnishings.
3. Responsible for disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials.
4. Handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc.
5. Dust furniture, light fixtures, windowsills, etc.
6. Empty trash containers daily.
7. Mop floors in bathrooms daily.
8. Check all vacant rooms daily to keep them fresh.
9. Report any needed repairs immediately to the supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tiles, broken windowpanes, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc.).
10. Communicate with the front desk regarding guest issues or requests.
11. Check entire area for spills, water, etc.
12. Clean at least 15 guest rooms daily to meet management and guest expectations.
13. Use an iPad to document the completion of cleaned rooms.
14. Attend staff training sessions and meetings as needed.
15. Complete special projects outlined by the housekeeping manager.
16. Restock all housekeeping supplies on shelves and carts.

Physical Requirements:

This position demands good physical health. The housekeeper must be able to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull, and work a flexible schedule. They should be able to move continuously during work hours and lift or carry up to 25 pounds.
