Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Canouan is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Attendant to maintain guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards. You will be part of the Front Office Team, ensuring a pristine, welcoming environment for all guests.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks (bending, lifting, standing for long hours).
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned public areas daily.
• Change bed linens and towels, make beds, and replenish guest amenities.
• Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and disinfect surfaces according to standard procedures.
• Report any maintenance issues, lost & found items, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Refill housekeeping trolleys with necessary supplies and linens.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols, including use of PPE and chemicals.
• Ensure guest privacy and security by following key control and Do Not Disturb policies.
• Greet guests politely if encountered and assist with basic requests when needed.
• Perform deep cleaning and other duties as scheduled or assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storage and pantry rooms.

About the job

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and public areas to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests, in line with the property’s service and hygiene standards.
