Job summary

ofi North America is seeking a Plant Services Associate to manage sanitation and housekeeping across plant, offices, and surrounding areas to maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role supports food safety and QA programs, following SOPs, HACCP, and GMP guidelines, with duties spanning production areas, restrooms, and common spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 0–3 months related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Experience in food processing is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Safe Work and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Support product quality, food safety, and workplace safety programs by following SQF, HACCP, QA/QC, GMP, SOPs, OSHA, and company policies.
• Perform scheduled sanitation and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility.
• Clean and maintain production areas, restrooms, lunchrooms, offices, and other common areas.
• Restock hygiene and sanitation supplies, including hairnets, gloves, earplugs, soap, and paper products.
• Maintain required documentation.
• Empty and maintain waste, recycling, and rework bins, and monitor garbage disposal and compactor areas.
• Maintain sanitation rooms, cleaning tools, and equipment in a clean, organized, and ready-to-use condition.
• Identify and report food safety, quality, maintenance, or safety concerns to supervision.
• Follow all required PPE and safety procedures while performing assigned duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Ability to use full range of motion to bend, stretch, kneel, squat, climb stairs/ladder and work standing-up for much of the entire shift is required.
• Experience in food processing or related industry considered an asset.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and ensure completion with minimal errors.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy looking consistently for potential food safety or quality deviations.
• Frequent lifting and bending and long periods of standing are required – must lift 35 to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 90 degrees Farenheit.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions,
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety policies and requirements.
