Job Summary:

Under general supervision, cleans & maintains assigned areas & performs a variety of environmental service duties in & around the medical center to maintain a neat, orderly, sanitary, & safe environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Upholds KP Policies & Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities & applicable laws.
2. Cleans equipment, surgical areas, storage areas, furniture & beds.
3. Cleans spills & flooded areas.
4. Deep cleans, sanitizes rooms, mattresses, vents, & bathrooms.
5. Operates electrical cleaning equipment.
6. Strips, cleans, & polishes floor & wall surfaces; vacuum carpets.
7. Dilutes cleaning solutions.
8. Collects & disposes of waste including bio-hazardous medical waste according to Policies & Procedures, ensuring proper storage & locking in approved areas.
9. Coordinates housekeeping functions with other departments.
10. Performs other duties as required.

Additional Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

• One (1) year of experience in environmental services department in an acute care setting (preferred).
• Experience within Environmental Services in a Medical Center environment (preferred).
