Job summary

Cache Valley Hospital is seeking a PRN Housekeeping Associate to maintain patient rooms, waiting areas, restrooms and other spaces with a friendly, professional approach.

You will follow cleaning protocols, use PPE when handling chemicals, and work with a caring team to ensure a sanitary, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff; this role supports our mission to provide high-quality care in the Cache Valley community.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and tools preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned patient rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, offices, stairways, elevators and other areas by providing housekeeping services.
• Ensure optimum sanitation and a clean environment throughout the hospital.
• Utilize cleaning techniques with specialized cleaning processes and devices.
• Follow all PPE policies when handling chemicals and cleaning.
• Use safety equipment when handling hazardous waste and chemicals.
• Follow daily cleaning schedule according to area needs.
• Complete special projects as assigned by the department Director or Supervisor.
• Participate in staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
• Ensure customer quality expectations and courteous, caring service.

• **You willmaintainassigned patient rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, offices, Stairways,elevatorsand other areas by providing housekeeping services.**
• **You willinsureoptimumsanitation and a clean environment throughout the hospital.**
• **You willutilizeclean techniques by performing specialized cleaning processes, using a variety of cleaning devices.**
• **Follow all established PPF (personal protective equipment) policies when handling chemicals and/or cleaning, including wearing gloves, masks, aprons, etc.**
• **Use allappropriate safetyand protective equipment and supplies when handling hazardous waste and/or chemicals.**
• **You will follow a daily cleaning schedule according to area needs.**
• **You will complete special projects as assigned by the department Director or/and Supervisor.**
• **You willparticipatein staff meetings and activelyparticipatein performance improvement activities.**
• **You will ensure that customer quality expectations are met and that all customers are given courteous and caring service.**
