Job summary

The YMCA is seeking a dependable Housekeeping Associate in Huntsville, AL to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming facilities for members, guests, and staff. This full-time role supports light maintenance, stocking supplies, and ensuring high housekeeping standards to enhance the member experience.

You will work with the Property Director to manage supplies and upkeep, prioritizing safety and cleanliness. Flexibility for evenings or weekends may be required to support events and seasonal needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain interior and exterior areas of the facility, including restrooms.
• Maintain cleanliness to create a safe, welcoming environment for members and staff.
• Support light maintenance tasks and replenish supplies.
• Follow safety policies and properly store cleaning chemicals.
• Coordinate with the Property Director on housekeeping supply inventory.
