This role as a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare's award-winning care home in Blackwater involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and laundry to provide a comfortable and safe environment for the residents. The successful candidate will have knowledge of health and safety, experience in cleaning and laundry in a public setting, and demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering quality care.

Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, your focus will be to work as part of a team to ensure all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home. You will operate according to the standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, maintaining hotel service standards. Other responsibilities include carrying out cleaning duties, understanding cleaning requirements for different surfaces and materials, and treating residents with dignity and respect.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Housekeeping Assistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home. You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
