Job description

This is a remote position. Only considering candidates who reside in one of these markets: Twin Cities area, MN; Grand Forks or Fargo, ND; or Phoenix, AZ.

Hours: Monday - Friday 10am - 7pm Central Time and one Saturday per month (8am - 1pm).

About the Role

The Bank Client Service Center Associate answers a wide range of incoming calls from banking and wealth management clients. They educate, troubleshoot, support, and provide information to respond to inquiries accurately and efficiently. The Client Service Center serves as a single point of contact for clients regarding Alerus products.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Answer telephone, email, and chat inquiries promptly and courteously, covering topics like balance inquiries, debit card maintenance, disputes, transfer requests, and loan payments.
  2. Provide professional, accurate, and clear communication.
  3. Understand and communicate the use of Alerus websites, mobile apps, and voice response systems.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial services and internal systems (AS400, Q2, Architect, Salesforce).
  5. Understand and communicate basic deposit, money market, time accounts, and loan policies.
  6. Stay informed about all Alerus products, services, and processes, including fraud prevention.
  7. Develop and enhance client relationships by informing clients of relevant products and encouraging financial wellness.
  8. Support a positive work environment and assist colleagues in achieving departmental goals.
  9. Meet performance standards such as quality assurance scores, productivity, and attendance, notifying management proactively if standards are not met.
What You Should Have
  1. 1+ years of business experience in customer service or accounting/bookkeeping preferred.
  2. 1+ years of experience related to financial services preferred.
  3. Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.
  4. Ability to prioritize, be self-motivated, and manage multiple tasks independently.
  5. Proven adaptability to a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Work Environment

Base Pay Range

$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
