Job summary

Belong Birkdale is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to support the Head Housekeeper and Front of House Manager in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across the village.

You will work to create a welcoming home-from-home environment for residents and families, undertaking cleaning, laundry and related duties with care, reliability and a flexible approach, including weekends and evenings when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and domestic duties is desirable.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning & Building Interiors.
• Customer-focused approach and reliable behavior.

Responsibilities

• Deliver housekeeping and domestic services in line with Belong's values and standards.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness, hygiene and comfort throughout the village.
• Support residents with their individual domestic needs within their household accommodation.
• Carry out cleaning and laundry duties using appropriate equipment and procedures.
• Respond promptly to requests for housekeeping assistance.
• Complete written records accurately when required.
• Follow Health & Safety guidance and product safety procedures.
• Work independently and as part of the wider team to ensure excellent service delivery.

About the Role

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will support the Head Housekeeper and Front of House Manager in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, comfort and presentation throughout the village, ensuring residents, families and visitors enjoy a welcoming and safe environment.

You will play an important role in supporting residents within their households and helping to create a home-from-home atmosphere across Belong Birkdale.

Main Responsibilities

Skills & Experience

• Previous commercial or domestic cleaning experience is desirable.
• NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning & Building Interiors (or equivalent) desirable, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
• Experience working in a customer-focused environment would be beneficial.
