Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a Facilities Environmental Services team member to perform floor care across WVU Medicine buildings. You will clean floors, burnish, strip and wax, plus vacuum carpets using auto scrubbers and extractors, while adhering to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include moving furniture to access areas, operating a range of floor care machines, and reporting equipment issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Ability to listen to instructions and guidance for cleaning tasks.
• Attention to detail to ensure floors and carpets are clean and well-presented.
• Punctual and able to manage multiple cleaning tasks within schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of skilled floor care duties in WVU Medicine buildings.
• Clean carpets per established procedures and operate floor care equipment safely.
• Mix and use chemicals following safety rules; move furniture as needed.
• Report equipment maintenance issues promptly and wear PPE when handling chemicals.
• Work a 7:00am–3:30pm shift, 40 hours per week, with rotating weekends/holidays.

Duties will include cleaning, dusting, mopping, burnishing, scrubbing, buffing, stripping, and waxing of floors. Cleaning and maintenance of carpets and rugs will also be performed. Moving of furniture before and after as needed to complete assignments. The mixing and using of chemicals as needed to perform assignment.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:1.
