Position: Housekeeping Aide

Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, the Housekeeping Aide is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing rooms and furnishings in assigned areas, following established policies and procedures, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.

General Responsibilities:

1. Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas as instructed, according to the cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.), using approved cleaning agents and equipment, and following proper procedures.
2. Dust, damp wipe, spot clean, wash, sanitize, and polish all fixtures, furnishings, and furniture in residents' rooms, including TVs, radios, pictures, feeding tables, light fixtures, shelves, chairs, tables, beds and bed frames, nightstands, bed rails, and other surfaces in the room and over door facings.

Qualifications:

• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled.
• Ability to perform essential job functions and meet physical and sensory requirements for the role.
