POSITION DESCRIPTION HOUSEKEEPER / LAUNDRY AIDE:

The Housekeeping / Laundry Aide performs general housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry activities within established guidelines and as directed by Manager. Performs general cleaning work in resident rooms, corridors, public and service areas. Maintains showers, toilets, rest rooms and common areas. This position will report directly to the Director of Maintenance, Laundry and Environmental Services.

HOUSEKEEPER / LAUNDRY AIDE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Demonstrate attendance reliability.
  • Demonstrate ability to display positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in close cooperation with co-workers and other departments.
  • Demonstrate ability to handle stress / customer service skills
  • Demonstrate good mental and physical health.
  • Demonstrate ability to withstand constant standing and walking, frequent lifting and moving of excess of forty pounds.
