Job summary

Outrigger Hospitality Group is seeking a Banquet Lead to prepare and break down event spaces in Kailua. You will lead the banquet housekeepers, train new hires, and ensure the signature welcome experience is delivered to guests and internal teams.

Base pay starts at $20.86/hr. This role includes health insurance, paid holidays, vacation, 401K, employee assistance, and employee room discounts, with growth opportunities through training and development programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet/event setup and coordination.
• Ability to lead a team and train new hires.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and takes down furniture for events as per function sheet; handles heavy lifting and movement of furniture.
• Leads banquet housekeepers and trains new hires.
• Transports furniture and adheres to attendance policy; completes manager-assigned tasks.

JOB SUMMARY:

Prepares banquet rooms for guests and Company functions by setting up furniture, plants and props according to specific requests. Leads the Banquet Housekeepers and trains and guides new hires. Delivers the "4 Keys to Creating Guests For Life" by engaging with guests (internal & external) while at the same time promoting our signature welcome experience.

Functions & Responsibilities

• Sets up and takes down furniture for events. Arranges furniture, props and plants according to function sheet. Frequent physical demands include pushing, pulling, lifting, squatting, grasping, bending and twisting upper body and transporting furniture.
• Leading & guiding the banquet housekeepers. Training new hires.
• Transports furniture, adheres to the attendance policy. Completes tasks assigned by managers.
