Job summary

The Midland Hotel in Chicago, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, is seeking a Banquet Set-Up Attendant to prepare banquet rooms for events and support tear-down after functions.

You will assemble conference equipment, maintain cleanliness, assist culinary staff, and help create memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Highly detail-oriented and accurate.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Direct and prepare banquet rooms per event order.
• Clear and tear down after functions.
• Clean classrooms/ballrooms and restock supplies.
• Move equipment and materials between spaces.
• Assist culinary and stewarding teams as needed.
• Maintain a positive guest interaction and service.

This individual will help to direct the set up and preparation of banquet rooms for banquet functions, as well as clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of the function.If you have experience with setting up banquet events, enjoy making meaningful connections, figuring out what it takes and stepping it up to win the day is what you do, and you love it, we want you!
