Job summary

Journey is seeking a dedicated Cleaning and Sanitation Associate to support our resident community. You will perform daily and deep cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces while following infection control policies to protect residents and staff.

As a valued member of the care team, you will manage supplies, operate cleaning equipment safely, and help maintain a welcoming, hygienic environment for our residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitization: Daily and deep cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas; dusting, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, trash and waste management.
• Equipment and supplies management: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment; prepare and distribute supply packs and linens.
• Resident-focused support: Respect privacy and individual needs; follow infection control policies and complete documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED diploma
• Previous long term care experience preferred.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform daily and deep cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, including dusting, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and managing trash and waste materials.
• Equipment and Supplies Management: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuums and floor buffers, safely and effectively; prepare and distribute supply packs and linens as needed.
• Resident-Focused Support: Practice sensitivity to residents’ privacy and individual needs while adhering to infection control policies and completing all required documentation accurately.
