Job summary

Journey is seeking a dedicated cleaning and sanitization specialist to join our care team in Stanford, KY. You will clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms and common areas, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, managing supplies and linens, and supporting residents while respecting privacy and following infection control policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous long term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitization of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, including dusting, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and waste management.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment; manage supply packs and linens as needed.
• Respect residents' privacy and follow infection control policies while completing required documentation.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform daily and deep cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, including dusting, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and managing trash and waste materials.
• Equipment and Supplies Management: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuums and floor buffers, safely and effectively; prepare and distribute supply packs and linens as needed.
• Resident-Focused Support: Practice sensitivity to residents’ privacy and individual needs while adhering to infection control policies and completing all required documentation accurately.
