Job summary

Echelon Care & Rehab Center is hiring a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary environment for residents and staff. The role ensures housekeeping services across all departments in coordination with department heads to support a healthful living space.

Ideal candidates have a high school degree or equivalent, can read and write English, and possess good physical condition for cleaning tasks. Compensation includes health and retirement benefits with full/part-time options.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
• Good physical condition.
• Working knowledge of standard cleaning materials.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and techniques.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to interact positively with residents, families and staff.
• TB test verification within past year.

Responsibilities

• Follows specific cleaning and service instructions as outlined by the Director of Environmental Services;
• Follows cleaning procedures in a safe manner;
• Completes all assignments scheduled in each unit;
• Gives an assigned unit the attention needed to provide a sanitary, odor free, orderly environment for all concerns;
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs;
• Maintains equipment in good working condition and returns it to proper location after use;
• Assists with room changes, as needed;
• Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights;
• Performs other duties as requested.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping Aide insures that the facility is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition at all times to provide for care and welfare of the residents in a healthful environment. In addition, he/she insures that good housekeeping services are performed in every department of the facility and are planned in cooperation with the department head.

RESPONSIBILITLES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. 1 Follows specific cleaning and service instructions as outlined by the Director of Environmental Services;
2. 2 Follows cleaning procedures in a safe manner;
3. 3 Completes all assignments scheduled in each unit;
4. 4 Gives an assigned unit the attention needed to provide a sanitary, odor free, orderly environment for all concerns;

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/ VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

1 High school degree or equivalent is preferred.

2 Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.

3 Knowledge of techniques and equipment used in cleaning activities.

4 Knowledge of cleaning materials and reasons for their use.

7 Provide annual verification of negative TB skin test.
