Job summary

Maristone of Providence in Mount Juliet, TN is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and homelike environment for residents. You will clean apartments, common areas, and support staff while following facility policies.

The role emphasizes independence, confidentiality, and positive interactions with residents and coworkers, with a schedule of Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM and on-demand pay options available.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas daily per policy.
• Maintain cleanliness of utility and storage rooms.
• Post safety hazard signs when hazards are present or during housekeeping.
• Use PPE when handling hazardous materials as directed.
• Follow safety instructions when using chemicals and refer to MSDS for guidance.
• Store chemicals in original containers and seek supervisor if unsure of usage.
• Monitor workplace for safety and report potential problems.
• Report housekeeping and maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Secure housekeeping supplies to prevent resident access.

Position: Housekeeping Aid - Maristone of Providence

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide (HA) that provides cleaning services to ensure a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and others. Housekeeping services must follow facility policies and procedures and are consistent with state and federal laws and regulations.

Essential Duties

• Clean assigned resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas daily and according to community policy while maintaining resident privacy and respecting their property
• Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly
• Post signs indicating a safety hazard any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards to staff, residents, visitors, or others
• Use personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially hazardous body fluids in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Comply with all safety instructions and procedures when using chemicals, referring to labels and Material Safety Data Sheets for instructions
• Keep all chemicals and cleaning supplies in their original containers, ask supervisor if unsure about usage
• Monitor the workplace for safety and fire hazards and correct or report potential problem
• Report housekeeping and maintenance problems, including equipment breakdowns, to the supervisor
• Secure housekeeping supplies so that residents are unable to access

Education/ Experience Requirements

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus
• Excellent organizational, time-management and computer skills
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
• Understand and uphold the policies and procedures established by TCSL
• Work independently, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and be a positive leader
• Demonstrate practical interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
• Maintain good working relationships with residents and co-workersWillingness to perform additional duties as assigned
