Job summary

Apploi is seeking dependable Housekeeping Aides to join our team in Louisville. You will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents by performing a wide range of cleaning tasks across rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, and common spaces.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, recreational spaces, nurses’ stations, break rooms, and other facility areas.
• Dust and clean furnishings, fixtures, ledges, heating and cooling units, and other surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including washing and polishing fixtures and removing water marks.
• Clean windows, mirrors, drapes, and privacy curtains as needed.
• Vacuum, deodorize, and disinfect carpets.
• Sweep, mop, strip, wax, buff, and disinfect floors as needed.
• Clean walls and ceilings by dusting, wiping, spot-cleaning, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Collect and dispose of waste properly and replace trash liners as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly store equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Follow infection control practices, universal precautions, and fire safety policies and procedures.
• Place appropriate caution and safety signs before performing housekeeping tasks.
• Report defective or nonworking call lights, light bulbs, exit lights, and other equipment to the supervisor promptly.
• Turn in lost-and-found items to the supervisor.
• Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.
