Job summary

Hickory Recovery is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for our Corydon, IN location to maintain clean and safe spaces for clients and staff. You will clean client rooms, day areas, and common spaces, following infection control and safety protocols.

Under supervision, you will manage daily housekeeping tasks, assist with laundry on a rotating schedule, and ensure supplies are used safely and efficiently. Reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential to support our mental health care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred.
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• General Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean client rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, waste removal, and other daily housekeeping tasks.
• Follow infection control protocols and all sanitation procedures.
• Comply with facility, state, and Joint Commission standards for cleanliness and safety.
• Manage client laundry on a rotating schedule.
• Equipment & Supplies: Use cleaning products and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Safety & Reporting: Report any maintenance concerns or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor promptly.
• Professional Conduct: Maintain respectful, professional interactions with clients and staff.

About the Role

The Housekeeper is the primary sanitary member of the administrative team, assuring cleanliness in all public areas and client rooms.

Under the immediate supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean environment including common areas and clients’ rooms

Job Qualifications

• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow detailed instructions

• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required
