Job summary

Hickory Treatment Centers is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness in client rooms and all public areas within a healthcare environment in Albion, IN.

The role supports the housekeeping supervisor, ensuring a sanitary, comfortable setting for clients and staff while following infection control standards and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred.
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
• Professional demeanor and understanding of appropriate boundaries in a healthcare setting.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow detailed instructions.
• Basic computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas, including client rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, waste removal, and other daily housekeeping tasks.
• Follow infection control protocols and all sanitation procedures.
• Comply with facility, state, and Joint Commission standards for cleanliness and safety.
• Manage client laundry on a rotating schedule.

About the Role

The Housekeeper is the primary sanitary member of the administrative team, assuring cleanliness in all public areas and client rooms.

Under the immediate supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean environment including common areas and clients’ rooms
