Job summary

Sofidel America in Shelby, NC is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping team member to perform cleaning tasks across the plant, supporting GMP and HACCP to maintain a safe and sanitary workplace.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, restrooms, offices; sweeping, mopping, trash, windows; following safety procedures; building positive relationships with supervisors and colleagues; evening shift 7:00pm–3:00am.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures written in English.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support GMP and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary workplace.
• Clean conference rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, closets, stairs, and windows.
• Sweep, remove debris, and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Regularly check and empty trash receptacles in all areas.
• Clean windows and polished stainless steel surfaces; dust fixtures and product.
• Follow safety, health and housekeeping procedures; adhere to safe work practices.
• Build positive relationships through clear, respectful communication with supervisors and colleagues.
• Able to work evening shift hours from 7:00pm to 3:00am.
• Support team in maintaining a clean and organized plant environment.

Position Overview

Sofidel America, a global leader in tissue paper manufacturing, is rapidly expanding across the U.S. We are currently seeking candidates for Housekeeping to join our team at our Shelby, NC location. This role will perform cleaning tasks within the plant to support the company's expectations. Continuously supports Sofidel’s Employee Personal Practice Policy.

Job Responsibilities

• Support Sofidel America’s Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary and hygienically sound workplace.
• Cleans conference rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, closets, stairways and windows.
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Regularly check the trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in all areas of the site.
• Clean windows and mirrored surfaces; polish stainless steel surfaces.
• Dust fixtures, shelves, and product as needed.
• Follow and comply with all applicable safety, health and housekeeping procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Proven ability to build positive relationships through clear and respectful communication with supervisors, colleagues, and community members.
• Able to work evening shift hours from 7:00pm - 3:00am

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals written in English.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
