Job summary

Sofidel America is hiring for a Housekeeping role at our Shelby, NC location. You will perform cleaning tasks across the plant area to maintain a sanitary, safe work environment and support our employee practice policies.

The position requires an evening shift from 7:00pm to 3:00am, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read English safety rules and manuals. Benefits are offered as part of a professional, safety-focused workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals).
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Support GMP and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary workplace.
• Clean conference rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, and wipe floors, remove debris, and empty trash.

Position Overview

Sofidel America, a global leader in tissue paper manufacturing, is rapidly expanding across the U.S. We are currently seeking candidates for Housekeeping to join our team at our Shelby, NC location. This role will perform cleaning tasks within the plant to support the company's expectations. Continuously supports Sofidel’s Employee Personal Practice Policy.

Job Responsibilities

• Support Sofidel America’s Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary and hygienically sound workplace.
• Cleans conference rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, closets, stairways and windows.
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Regularly check the trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in all areas of the site.
• Clean windows and mirrored surfaces; polish stainless steel surfaces.
• Dust fixtures, shelves, and product as needed.
• Complete logs, as directed.
• Follow and comply with all applicable safety, health and housekeeping procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Proven ability to build positive relationships through clear and respectful communication with supervisors, colleagues, and community members.
• Able to work evening shift hours from 7:00pm - 3:00am

Job Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals written in English.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs.
