Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant PRN to perform scheduled cleaning tasks across patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. You will mop, dust, vacuum carpets, wash windows, and arrange furniture as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Experience in institutional housekeeping helps; you will follow facility protocols, use chemicals properly, and report needs to the supervisor while maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily per protocols.
• Use proper chemicals and equipment for cleaning and window washing.
• Empty trash, replace liners, and dispose of waste properly.
• Vacuum carpets and dust mop; report repairs to supervisor.
• Request needed supplies and maintain safety compliance.
• Participate in in-services and uphold patient safety policies.

This position may mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, arrange furniture, etc. and generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures and hardware.Qualifications:Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.Essential Functions:Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis and in accordance with Facility protocols.Uses proper chemicals in proper portions. May dust mop, wet mop, or spot-mop floors.Empties trash containers, replaces liners as appropriate and disposes of trash in proper receptacles.Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.Utilizes proper chemicals and equipment to wash and dry windows.Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.We are an Equal opportunity employer; We offer an excellent benefit plan to include 401K with match, CEU reimbursement, vacation, sick, holidays, medical, dental, and supplemental insurance Plans as well as a Highly competitive compensation package.
