Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to perform scheduled housekeeping tasks in patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, following facility protocols and safety rules.

The role involves cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining windows, floors, and fixtures, with responsibilities including reporting repairs, requesting supplies, and ensuring patient safety. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily per facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions; mop floors as needed.
• Empties trash and replaces liners; disposes of trash properly.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Washes and dries windows with proper chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Responsible for patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

This position may mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, arrange furniture, etc. and generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures and hardware.Qualifications:Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.Essential Functions:Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis and in accordance with Facility protocols.Uses proper chemicals in proper portions.
