Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network in Lancaster, TX is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to perform scheduled cleaning of patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, and to operate floor-care equipment as needed.

You will dust, mop, vacuum, wash windows, and assist with setting up furniture while following facility protocols and safety rules. English reading and writing are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily according to facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions and may mop floors; empties trash and replaces liners.
• Vacuums carpets, washes and dries windows, and reports repairs to supervisor or maintenance.
• Requests needed supplies, identifies safety hazards, and attends weekly in-services.
• Supports patient safety and adheres to policy on abuse prevention.

This position may mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, arrange furniture, etc. and generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures and hardware.Qualifications:Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.Essential Functions:Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis and in accordance with Facility protocols.Uses proper chemicals in proper portions. May dust mop, wet mop, or spot-mop floors.Empties trash containers, replaces liners as appropriate and disposes of trash in proper receptacles.Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.Utilizes proper chemicals and equipment to wash and dry windows.Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.We are an Equal opportunity employer; We offer an excellent benefit plan to include 401K with match, CEU reimbursement, vacation, sick, holidays, medical, dental, and supplemental insurance Plans as well as a Highly competitive compensation package.
